WHAT RIEN READS
Every message. Even the long ones.
Especially the long ones. If you are going to describe a back piece you have been thinking about for six years, do not shorten it on her account. She reads the whole thing with a coffee.
OPEN DOOR · NO BELL NEEDED
Rien reads every message that comes in, usually the same day she sits down at the desk. Replies normally land in your inbox within 48 hours, weekends included. Addresses never get resold, newsletter never gets sent, and there is nobody on the other end except her and a very black cat.
THE NOTE
No wrong way to write it. Short is fine. Long is better.

RESPONSE TIME
Weekends count. Holidays sort of count. If you have not heard back by day three, it means the email got caught in a filter. Send it again, no apology needed.
WHAT SHE WON'T DO
Not her own work, not another artist's work. If you want a cover-up over an existing tattoo, Rien will ask you to get the original artist's blessing first. It is a rule. It has always been a rule.
The studio door on Dageraadplaats is always open on Saturdays, 14h to 18h, but a note is faster. Tinta will probably greet you. She bites only the door frame.
